Tools

Free educational tools to help you understand deadlines, fees and the first steps after an accident. They run in your browser and collect no personal information. All results are illustrations, not legal advice.

Statute of Limitations Finder

Educational only. Verify with your state's current law or an attorney. Filing deadlines can be shorter or longer depending on who was at fault, who was injured, and what kind of defendant is involved.

Common exceptions that can change a deadline: injured person was a minor; the injury was not discovered right away (discovery rule); the defendant left the state; the defendant is a government body (often a much shorter written-notice deadline); wrongful death claims (often a different clock); medical negligence (special rules).

Settlement Range Explainer

An illustration, not a prediction. Real outcomes depend on evidence, insurance limits, state law, negotiation and many other factors. Courts and insurers do not use a simple formula. This tool only shows how the pieces can fit together and how shared fault changes the number.

Attorney Fee Explainer (Contingency Fees)

Educational example only. In a contingency arrangement the lawyer is paid a percentage only if there is a recovery. Percentages, how costs are handled and what is owed to medical providers or insurers are set by the written agreement and state rules. Read any agreement carefully.

Filing fees, records, experts.

After-the-Accident Checklist

General educational checklist. Your progress is kept only in this browser tab and clears when you close it. Nothing is sent anywhere.
